Street Projections

I shot this video tonight at the corner of 24th and Bryant in the Mission. I love that Galería de la Raza keeps refreshing new things happening in my part of the neighborhood. There was something surreal about these projections swimming silently while the occasional car or bus passed by.

More storefronts should be activated at night. It brings a movement and energy to the street that makes them inhabitable even when they're quiet enough to seem a bit unsafe. It as if each commercial space (or gallery) had something to share with it's neighbors, even when most of them are asleep.
